Join historian Katherine Hubler for a discussion of Listening to Survivors (OSU Press), a powerful collection of accounts from Holocaust survivors and witnesses, many of whom settled in Oregon. Hubler will highlight the remarkable recollections featured in the book, including revolts in Nazi death camps, intimate friendships with Anne Frank and her family, and resilience in the face of unimaginable conditions. She will also discuss themes that emerge from listening to Holocaust survivor and witness testimonies and the urgent lessons and reminders that survivors impart to readers today.
Light refreshments will be provided.
